BIOGRAPHY
The founder of Precision Economics, Dr. Brian C. Becker has served as an economic expert witness and consultant for more than thirty years on behalf of corporations, law firms, governments, and organizations. Submitting expert reports in more than 100 disputes both domestically and internationally, Dr. Becker has testified under direct, cross examination, and “hot tub” formats before judges, juries, panels, and mediators. In the area of transfer pricing, his trial testimony has included Coca-Cola and Medtronic in the United States, General Electric and McKesson in Canada, and Chevron and Roche in Australia. Dr. Becker’s other testimony has included a mix of class action, ERISA/financial disputes, deceptive trade practices, false claims, international trade, international arbitration, and intellectual property matters. After graduating from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Becker earned a Ph.D. from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Becker has served as a Professor for MBA and undergraduate students in Finance, Derivative Securities, Statistics, and Operations Management courses. Dr. Becker has published approximately 30 articles (and books/book chapters) in topics ranging from damages awards and discount rates to cost sharing buy-ins and licensee profitability.
